WHere it all started
Hey everyone, Stephen here with Oyyo Media. I have been shooting my kids sports teams for the past three years. Why I don’t consider myself a professional yet. I sure do enjoy shooting youth sports athletes and teams.
It all started with a small argument with my son’s baseball coach, that lead to my wife calling me a “Sideline Coach”. I didn’t like the term, it made me feel bad. So, I had to do something to change. I picked up an older setup: Nikon D7000, with sigma 20-200mm 2.8 lens. After shooting that first game is when I got hooked.
There is something special about capturing the players during the game, or even watching a play develop through the lens. Shooting sports and editing the photos after is something that I have come to enjoy.
Things I’m passionate about in life are being able to provide many opportunities for my son. Enjoying good tasteful food with close friends and family. Watching sports, and looking to get back into competitive paintball.
I love capturing youth athlete’s compete at their game. It’s fun to see how an athlete develops through practice, learning from missed opportunities and seeing them enjoy their sport.
